Overview

Whilst modern contact lens materials and cleaning solutions are significantly more advanced than ever and indeed have dramatically reduced the frequency of complications with contact lens wear, occasionally problems can still arise. Sitting on the surface of the eye, a lens has the potential to disrupt the biological functions of the eye. We routinely examine all contact lens patients annually to check the health of the eye and reassess the fit and condition of the contact lenses. This allows any potential complications to be dealt with swiftly and also facilitates updates to more suitable/beneficial lenses if they become available.
